For NotinDetroit, Jake and Flowergirl.
My vehicle of choice for the zombie apocalypse. A 1975 Suburban like the one I used to own modified with stuff you'd find laying around.
List of modifications:
- Brush Guard
-Radiator and Oil Pan plates
-Snorkel made from dryer vent
-Spotlights
-Roofcage with fuel cans
-Hinged Rear wheel guards. Plate steel with simple hinges, and rubber lock downs
-Rear doors welded shut and handles removed

But why weld the doors shut? do you plan on having a only one companion or trying to loan star it in the Zombie apocalypse? If Left 4 Dead , or even Zombieland taught me anything it's that your chances for survival are much higher with a little back up.
still not exactly sure how they got 4 people into a stock car...especially when one of them is a big as Coach
EDIT I suppose if the 'Burban had a front bench you could get three people in the front, but that'd still be slower in and out compared to just having 4 doors.

Only the two back doors are welded shut. This is meant as a supply vehicle. The back seats fold completely flat for extra storage, but can still be used if absolutely needed.

but you have to think about easy, as well as speed of access. In a survival situation taking a few more seconds to load up people, or even cargo, and mean getting away, or getting eaten.

I'm not worried about carrying around lots of people. I'm more worried about keeping a bunch of panicking people out of my vehicle. And zombies.
